To switch between normal, playing Bass, and Open Pick, hold Pick and press Green twice. Release the Pick and Pick once more. Repeat to switch.

At the song selection screen, hold Green and press Pick twice. Repeat to switch between modes.

Hold START, then press B to increase the speed in 0.5x increments, and press R to decrease the speed in 0.5x increments. Very useful if you find the song is too hard to play at the speed you set before the song started.

At the song selection screen, rapidly Pick until modifications (such as increased speed) reset.

Simply keep START button held after selecting game mode or song. You can let go of start once the menu appears. You will be able to turn various things on or off, such as Branch, Sudden, Hidden, Reverse, Flow Speed, etc.
