Hold down L + R + Up (on the directional pad) for three seconds during gameplay and all characters will turn Super-Deformed (big heads, little bodies). Not a very useful code but will scare your friends.

To unlock the effects enter the appropriate password as your name on the entry screen:

To unlock several of the weapons, you must gain wins in certain stages.

To unlock someone's personal weapon for all to use (without using codes), simply complete all 36 levels with one character. So, if you complete all 36 levels with Whack Angus, the Meat Clevers will be available for everyone to use.

To unlock Gate Rally Mode, you need to gain one win in Smack Attack Mode.

To unlock Flag Rally Mode, you need to gain four wins in Smack Attack or Flag Rally Mode.
